Eternity

Sitting on a raft.
mid ocean.
my pulse is evenly following
the gentle ripples
as they move beside me.
my heart.
it is shattered.
into a thousand pieces,
carried away by the wind.
all that is left
is Eternity.
a devastation as deep
as the ocean below me.
the non-moving thickness
of forever.
pulsating
like a black eternal presence.
where I lie.
neither born.
nor dying.
but in a vastness of vanishing.
The thread of my life
sunken into the soil and sand below.
my pulse slown down
to the aimless sound of forever.
in every direction.
at the same time.
every sensation,
is an evidence of forever.
of eternal ending.
